Inside Sales Rep (full-time, Quincy office)
The Inside Sales Representative position is responsible for maintaining and developing new sales opportunities of one of SIM's product lines. The majority of the day will be generating activity within the product line, making at least 60 calls a day to uncover qualified sales opportunities. The Inside Sales Rep will be expected to close these sales opportunities and will have the chance to "up-sell" other products for additional commission. This is considered an entry level position, so no inside sales experience is required. However, what is required is a person with excellent time management skills as well as outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Marketing / PR Interns
The intern(s) will work in the corporate Marketing Department and in coordination with the sales and product development teams to help launch a new Online Training Tool. Intern(s) will be a part of the design and launch of the national marketing/public relations campaign which includes news media, online banner advertisements, full-color trade magazine advertisements, tradeshow exhibitions, national email, fax and mailing distributions and live webcasts. This is an excellent opportunity to convert classroom training into a "real world" product launch. The internship will also include writing and distributing newsletters, as well as writing and pitching press releases. Applicants should be articulate with strong writing skills.
Programming intern must be enthusiastic about working with Ruby and Rails. The internship includes developing new web applications, maintaining existing websites, quality assurance testing, stress testing, database design and integrating with graphics and web design into coherent and neat sequences.
This position involves both web design, site maintenance/updates, programming, as well as site architecture creation. Full/Part-time applicants experienced with Photoshop and HTML is desired. All applicants should be detail oriented, patient and have strong communication skills. Quality assurance testing is essential.
Online News Interns
This is a fun, fast-paced, deadline-oriented internship with enormous growth potential. Interns will have the opportunity to interview and speak with high-ranking government officials, commissioners, state and political leaders, top practitioners and academicians and corporate executives. Applicants should have strong writing and proofreading skills. Applicants should be able to follow up their own leads, quickly generate story ideas and complete assignments in a pinch. Interns will play an important role in crafting the site's weekly news and may be able to participate in live web interviews. Interns receive a news byline on all articles they write. Applicants with an interest in or some experience in journalism preferred.
Internet Research Intern
We are looking for two (2) high school or college interns to help us build an Online Resource Center/Library for Criminal Justice and Homeland Security professionals (i.e., first responders, law enforcement officers, wardens, sheriffs, commissioners, legislators..). Only Internet surfing experience required. If you like to spend hours combing the Internet then this is the perfect internship for you. Applicants must be very organized, must be comfortable downloading PDF, TXT and other documents and must enjoy 'the hunt' --- successfully gathering hundreds of documents, websites, and other resources to 'load-up' our virtual library.
